It's time, you're ready to commit to making a booking and get some intiment and precious images of yourself to use however you like. But what if it's your first time, what if the last time you did this you weren't happy or satisfied with the results. Well a big part of any shoot is the preperations before hand.
So where do we start, well the most important place to start is with self care, treat yourself, get your hair done, exfoliate and moisturise, don't splurge, NO cheat days eat healthy and clean and you'll shine on the day! (And a bonus tip is to always wear loosing comfortable clothing, it prevents any strap marks and indentations on the skin from tight bands etc that may show up in photos)
Secondly is with outfits, sometimes it's hard to find something that feels great, looks great and comes across well on camera. Luckily most lingerie and risqué outfits do! The most important consideration that I want you to make is what colour the lingerie is, does it complement or contrast with your skin, are you wearing dark lingerie in a dark room, could that blend in? and not stand out as much as say a red or blue lingerie set could.
These are all things that I would want you to think about, and if you're ever unsure a good boudoir photographer will know how to advise you on what could look best. Regardless though the golden rule is you love it and do you love wearing it, because that all comes out on camera and makes it look that much more amazing in the end result.
My 3rd tip is get lots of rest, sleep well and that you feel safe! don't stay up super late and don't wear yourself out, you're here to have fun and relax, it should be a day to enjoy, so give yourself that chance, don't stress yourself out, take 5 if you need it and remember you can always voice your thoughts and concerns. Its important that you not only know its a safe place to be you but that you feel it to.
Hopefully this helps, and who knows maybe I'll see you in studio soon!
Stay Risque!
