FAQ

How do I book a photo session with you?
There are two main ways you can book a shoot with me.
The best method is to start with reviewing the packages and submitting your details via my contact page, from here i'll get back to you as soon as I can to go over the necessary steps to get started with your shoot!
The 2nd option is to email me directly via contact@risquefilms.com this is the best option if you have something specific you wish to do shoot, or want to customise the service to fit your needs.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
Generally a couple of days to a week, depending on the amount of images that I need to sort through and edit. Generally I'll provide a first look at the images we've shot and we'll have a round or two of revisions that allow us to refine and edit the images as needed.
For the Video aspect of my work this can take about a week as well with a similar revision process.
Can I order prints or albums through you?
Currently I can only facilitate prints and frames but I am working on photo prints.
If you have an interest in obtaining any prints of the photos please email me: contact@risquefilms.com and I'll be in touch!
Are travel expenses included in your packages?
For any shoots within 20Km of Sydney CBD all travel expenses are included in my pricing.
However for any shoots outside 20km of Sydney CBD I do add on Toll and Km travel charges at $0.80 per Km.
If I'm based in your city at the time of your shoot, like the Gold Coast or Melbourne, the same 20Km rule applies.
If I'm in Sydney and you request for me to fly to your city I may charge for flights and accomodation in order to facilitate your request, especially if I'm only flying up for the one shoot.
With multiple shoots I won't charge these costs on so if you have any friends and/ or colleagues that also want shoots the best and cheapest way to get me out to you is to have them all book at the same period of time.
If you have any further questions or just want a quote feel free to contact me via my website or directly to contact@risquefilms.com
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
It does happen and there's no sense in being strict on shoot dates because of this.
Generally we'll be planning our shoot dates on days that suit the weather we want for the style we are going for. If anything changes or the weather forecast isn't reliable we'll set a weather hold day, a 2nd date for us to shoot incase the first date doesn't work out.
If we make the decision to go to the 2nd weather hold date we need to do so within 24-48 hours. If we make the decision within 24 hours additional costs may apply in cancelation fees with the venue, hair & makeup and equipment/ studio hire so please keep this in mind.
This is my first photo shoot, what should I know?
If this is your first photo shoot the main thing is don't stress, It's my job to guide you through everything and make it as enjoyable and easy as possible.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to relax and stay comfortable and healthy. If you work as a Private model or dancer you may want to take a couple days to rest up and let any bruises or blemishes heal as these can easily show up in Boudoir shoots.
The additional key consideration is to make sure you stay as hydrated as possible.
Outside of those main points everything else will be on me to walk you through. If you want further insight I do write about a lot of considerations and more in depth topics over on my blog.
Can you recommend any good locations?
Absolutely, there are plenty of key spots around Sydney I can make good recommendations on for exterior places, studios and hotels.
If I don't have one on hand that suits the shoot we want to do We'll be able to find one that does!
What pre shoot communication can I expect?
After our first point of contact via email I'll start my process to find out:
- What we want to achieve (new, updated, specific or stylised look)
- Where we want to shoot or look at shooting
- When our availability can best line up to make this happen, or what date/ day it needs to take place on.
- What outfits you have on hand, does anything need to be ordered in, do we need to design or re work existing outfits to make the project.
- How many deliverables we need to capture or what package that you want to lock in.
- What questions or requests you may have before or whilst we're shooting.
- An outline of the timeline the content will be delivered within.
- A review and conversation about how to ensure the privacy and safety of yourself on the shoot day and for your photos during and after the shoot.
Not every point above need be addressed before we shoot but this hopefully can give a picture of what i'll be in touch with you about before we lock in the shoot and go ahead with a deposit and payment.
What equipment do you bring?
The basic gear I bring on hand will always be one or two stills cameras and one video camera.
In addition to that i'll also bring tailored lighting and camera accessories depending upon what we are aiming to achieve.
This may include just a backpack with some items to a full trolley with lighting equipment, stands and modifiers.
Essentially I bring whatever is necessary to capture the style and content we have figured out before the shoot day. If there is anything notable i'm bringing i'll make sure to communicate this before the day!
Can you be discrete when arriving and leaving our shoot
I can be very discrete if needed, if required I can hide my gear in a suitcase to ensure it is not obvious i'm there for a photoshoot if you are worried about any complications with a venue you are staying at.
just let me know before hand and I'll keep this in mind when prepping for our shoot. Just please note that I may be limited in what i can bring and use to achieve the results were after.
As with everything we discuss if this is the vase I would communicate this with you well before hand so nothing is left to question on the day of the shoot.
How do you garantee my images will be safely stored and delivered?
I take your safety on this very seriously. I use a service called Pixiset that allows me to send a link with all of your images and videos to you directly that is password and pin protected. So only you will be able to download the images and videos.
Even if someone is able to obtain the link and password to access the image gallery they won't be able to capture or download the photos without the necessary pin.
In the unlikely circumstance that anyone is able to access the images that isn't you or me (or people you share the link with) I will receive a notification on my devices that shows me the exact email address and details of any individual. If this were to happen I would shut the gallery down immediately and contact you directly to communicate and share these details so we can discuss what actions we want to take if any.
Can I have a friend/ partner present at our shoot?
Absolutely! if you ever need someone there to be your rock, and support you through the process please feel free to do so. As long as they're comfortable with what we will be shoot and that you most importantly trust them.
The only thing I ask is that we all meet at the start of the shoot so I know who is who.
Do you have a studio?
I do not currently have a studio or studio space I use solely for boudoir shoots.
I find that its important that our shoots are distinct and unique from each other and one method is to utilise several studio spaces from around Sydney to do this.
One day I may have my own studio so always feel free to check back in!
Do you travel between Sydney, Gold Coast, and Melbourne?
Yes! I am based in Sydney and travel regularly to both the Gold Coast and Melbourne for client bookings, tours, and studio sessions. Get in touch to check my upcoming travel dates for your city.
